Dr. Michal Sarfati (PhD. MSc. BSc.) is an expert in the fields of sustainability and environmental responsibility in the public and business sectors. Dr. Sarfati has many years of experience in promoting sustainable urbanism; writing strategic plans for sustainability and the environment; researching, writing, and editing applied manuals; leading organizational processes for sustainable management; fundraising for environmental projects in diverse fields; Providing nature-based solutions for the development of a sustainable public space; Recruiting the public for a sustainable lifestyle; Ability to write professionally and fluently in Hebrew and English and make scientific information accessible to the public.

​Irit Golan- Engelko

Environmental and energy expert, specializing in planning and implementing long term strategies, management and holistic solutions for public and private sectors on climate change, sustainability and energy resilience.
Bringing wide and profound experience and knowledge of frameworks, services, guidelines, legislations and policies of the environmental and energy world. Irit Holds a BSC in life sciences from TLV univ. and an MSc in Environmental studies from the Hebrew Univ. of Jerusalem.

Peleg Atir

Peleg Atir is a sustainability project manager at Weitz Center. Peleg has a bachelor’s degree in soil and water sciences from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Graduate of the ERASMUS program at Wageningen University in the Netherlands. In the past he worked as a project manager at the Kinneret Center for Innovation and as a student he worked at the Resource Efficiency Center as a research student in the Knowledge Division. Has knowledge in the fields of environment, sustainability, innovation and the in between.

Dr. Ofira Fuchs

 

Dr. Ofira Fuchs is an anthropologist who studies social movements and public policy. She earned her PhD at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She was a postdoctoral fellow in Mimshak – Science and Policy fellowship program. As a fellow, she wrote and edited policy papers and led strategic processes at the Ministry of Agriculture.

​Dr. Hagit Olanovsky

Health and environmental risk management consultant in Israel, working with ministries, public institutions, academic institutions, and Knesset committees. She holds a PhD in Environmental Biology from the University of Haifa and has many years of experience as a researcher at the US National Institutes of Health. Previously, she served as executive director of the Green Movement in Israel and advisor to the chief scientist at the Ministry of Environmental Protection. Her areas of expertise are: Air pollution; drinking water quality; non-ionizing radiation; sustainable food; agriculture, and the environment; genetic engineering; electricity and energy; environmental technologies; food pollutants; noise pollution; pesticides; green building; waste and recycling; climate change adaptation; open space; and environmental planning.

 

ד"ר דניאל מדר

Dr. Daniel Madar

Dr. Daniel Madar Holds a B.Sc. in Life and Medical Sciences with high honors from the University of Tel-Aviv. Daniel has an M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Microorganisms in Changing Environments from the Weizmann Institute of Science. He was a Postdoc at the Mimshak program, combining Environmental Sciences studies and implementing science in the government. Daniel was the scientific advisor of the Chief Scientist in the Ministry of Environmental Protection.
Daniel is collaborating with academia and companies from Europe and North America, and is a winner of a Horizon 2020 grant.

Sagit Porat

Sagit Porat is a consultant and project manager with expertise in environmental and climate policy, sustainability, urbanism and the interfaces between business and the environment. She has extensive experience in government relations and policy developmentSagit managed the Tel Aviv University Institute for Business, Environment and Society and previously led a coalition of NGOs advocating and promoting Israeli policy and action on climate change leading up to the UN Copenhagen Climate Conference (COP15, 2009).
Sagit holds a BA in Geography from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and an MSc from the Bartlett School of Planning at University College London (UCL).
